Firstly, I apologise for the lack of posts on my blog for the last couple of weeks. I’ve been on holiday and hence haven’t really had anything aviation related to write about. The first week was spent skiing in Les 2 Alpes in France which was wonderful and long overdue. Then, this past week was spent catching up with friends and family in the UK.

Holidays come and go pretty quickly and I do enjoy taking a break from the flying and enjoying some first world normality. The bush lifestyle isn’t like living in the real world and a couple of weeks away are a great way to keep in touch with reality (just!).
Also managed a day trip to the Imperial War Museum at Duxford which I’d been meaning to visit since I dropped in there a few years ago for lunch in a Piper Warrior. It didn’t disappoint which a huge collection of war and post war aircraft to ogle over.

Tomorrow evening it’s back to Indonesia where I’m looking forward to getting back into flying my beloved Porter. Two and a bit weeks is almost too long to be away from it…
